Keta EP Basic School celebrates Valentine’s Day with their parents

Students of Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) basic school at Keta central in the Keta municipality of the Volta region, have celebrated Valentine’s Day with their parents at the Keta market.

The move, was to express their appreciation and love to their cherished and caring parents.

The move was also aimed to commemorate this year’s Valentine’s Day celebration which is being celebrated in the second week of February every year.

The headteacher of the school,Madam Rebecca Ackumey Girraldo, in an interaction with the media disclosed that the other objective of the celebration was to honour parents for their immense supports to prioritise and contributed to academic works of the school.

“The students visited the Keta market and distributed items such as chocolates,biscuits and others to their parents and guardians to mark the day of love,” she said.

She further stated that “let me use this Valentine’s Day celebration opportunity to thank our parents and guardians for being with us all this while.”

She also thanked parents and guardians for all the necessary supports to the children when the need arises.

Madam Ackumey added that Valentine’s Day was not for the lovers or boy and girl relationship alone but also to express love to colleagues, school mates,neighbors among others.
