The Mystery Of March

March is the name for the Roman God of war, Mars. However, we think of it as the beginning of spring, as March brings the vernal equinox, the full Worm moon, and the return of Daylight Saving Time. The month of March symbolically represents new growth, fertility, and creation in humans, plants, and animals. Its meaning embodies a kind of reigniting of the hearts like our ancestors, we are quickened…..our souls long for new conquests.

The month of March reminds us to take action on our thoughts and inspirations. A time of advancement and forward movement propelling us into the future. Decisions made in the month of March will have fortitude and distance, make sure your decisions are for the highest good of all around you. If accomplished outcomes from decisions develop favourable energy.

The spiritual energy of March can sometimes play havoc with relationships of all kinds, if the friendships or relationships have strong foundations and truth is spoken communication will prevail. Healing all problems on an emotional level, but if things are on the shaky ground march could mark the end of some relationships. This usually indicates growth and movement on a spiritual level giving way to better brighter relationships and circumstances.

March officially became Women’s History Month in 1987 and allows us to acknowledge the historical contributions of women in the United States. International Women’s Day is observed on March 8th every year. It is observed to recognize the contribution made by women to society throughout history. It is a month dedicated to teaching people about the significant contribution made by great women in the past and today. The Theme for this year’s celebration is Celebrating Women who tell stories. This theme honors and appreciates the important role women have played in story telling throughout history.

March is the equivalent of September, in the Southern Hemisphere. Every year, March and June finish on the same day of the week. March is the time of the year when animals start waking up from hibernation(the condition or period of an animal or plant spending the winter in a dormant state).

In the history of Ghana, March is a special Month, hence the name Ghana 🇬🇭 Month. March is the month in which Ghana gained independence (total freedom) from its colonial masters. The opportunity gave Ghanaians the right and freedom to make their laws to rule and govern them as a democratic country free from autocratic leadership, hardship, suffering, maltreatment, and slavery from our colonial masters( the British, the Portuguese, the Dutch, etc.). On the 6th of March 1957, our freedom and independence were attained by our forefathers of the Land led by Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. Therefore, on March 6th of every year, the Independence Day celebration is observed in Ghana. 🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭
